2017, Route 66 Journey

09.11.17 Salt Lake City, Utah

Monday, September 11, 2017 – We must never forget the attack in 2001 on our country. Never Forget.

Last Thursday we took a tour of Salt Lake City, Utah.  We chose to do the Trolley Tour and it was the perfect choice.  We were picked up in town by the trolley and enjoyed a look at several places around town.

doTerra (Essential Oils) had 30,000 people in town for a convention and there were doTerra signs all over town!

Our tour guide shared lots of information as we were taken around town.

This train station is just like the one that you see when you enter Disneyworld in Florida. Our trolley conductor was simply great!

The Presbyterian Church

The Catholic Church in Salt Lake City, Utah

I thought this cactus was quite unusual.

The Beehive House was one of the official residences of Brigham Young, an early leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Beehive House gets its name from the beehive sculpture atop the house

One of the administration buildings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Temple Square is a 10-acre complex, owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the center of Salt Lake City, Utah. A view of Temple Square from above.

State Capitol of Utah.  Looks so much like the US Capitol it is used in movies.

Here I am speaking to my subjects!

Just a random astronaut attached to a pole!

We were each given a box of Cracker Jacks and a glass bottle Coke! I think we made the right choice taking the Trolley ride!

That does it for our time in Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in Ogden, Utah where we stayed to be close to Salt Lake City, Utah.  On to southern Utah where we saw Bryce Canyon National Park – AMAZING PLACE!!

Ya’ll come back now, ya’ hear!
