Friday, August 14, 2015 – On Monday, while driving through Glacier National Park we saw the area along Going to the Sun Road that recently suffered from forest fires. Signs were posted saying to not get out of your car while driving through the burned areas. Most of my pictures were taken through the car windows. Some even look like the trees are leaning to the left but that’s just because I snapped pictures as we drove by. One time we had to stop in a line for about 5 minutes and I snuck out of the car to snap a few photos! I believe that around 4,000 acres were burned. It was very sad driving through the area.
It was amazing to see the beautiful blue waters of the lake next to the burned trees on both sides of the lake.
Well that’s it for the burned tree pictures! Not very exciting but it concerned us while we were planning to visit this area so I wanted to share.
Ya’ll come back now, ya’ hear!
